Schlüttsiel is the region's gateway to the hallig world. The small harbour on the mainland dyke serves no island in the classic sense but two halligen - and it serves them all year round.
To Hallig Hooge
Seventy-five minutes aboard the MS Hilligenlei, two departures per operating day. Hooge is the first call of the run, which is why the crossing there is the shorter of the two.
To Hallig Langeneß
One hundred and five minutes, because the ship calls at Hooge on the way. On the return leg from Langeneß it takes about two and a half hours, again with an intermediate stop.
One ship, one run
The MS Hilligenlei calls at Schlüttsiel, Hooge and Langeneß in sequence, and each leg is sold separately. For planning that means the departure time at your port depends on where the ship has been before. Anyone wanting to see both halligen in a day combines the outward and return legs across the short hop between them.

Unlike the excursion network of Adler-Schiffe, the hallig line keeps running. In the summer half-year it sails daily; in the winter half-year on five days of the week, with no sailing on Mondays and Wednesdays and just one on Saturdays and Sundays.
