Ferries to Langeneß
Langeneß is the second hallig in this region's timetable - and the only island in North Frisia that hangs off exactly one line. The MS Hilligenlei of the Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei calls there all year, on the same run as Hooge.
From Schlüttsiel
One hundred and five minutes from Schlüttsiel, two departures per operating day. The ship calls at Hooge on the way, which is why the crossing takes longer than the distance suggests. On the return leg it is about two and a half hours.
From Hallig Hooge
Thirty minutes across from Hooge - the second-shortest leg in the whole region, after Amrum-Hooge. In the other direction it takes 45 minutes, because that sailing is part of the run out of Langeneß.
What does not sail here
The excursion network of Adler-Schiffe, which links Sylt, Amrum, Föhr, Hooge, Nordstrand and Pellworm in the summer half-year, leaves Langeneß out. Anyone wanting to combine the hallig with a second island plans via Hooge: that is where the hallig line and the Wadden Sea network meet.
The timetable through the winter
The line keeps running, but it thins out. In the summer half-year it stands in the timetable daily with two departures; in the winter half-year it drops Mondays and Wednesdays, and on Saturdays and Sundays one sailing remains. The currently published timetable reaches to 12 December 2026, and the following period begins on 13 December.

Does anything sail to Langeneß in winter?+
Yes. The hallig line is a supply service and stands in the timetable all year. In the summer half-year it sails twice daily; in the winter half-year on five days of the week - the ship stays in port on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on Saturdays and Sundays there is one sailing.
Why does the crossing from Schlüttsiel take so long?+
Because the ship calls at Hooge on the way. The distance is short, the run is not - back to Schlüttsiel it takes about two and a half hours with the intermediate stop.
Does Adler-Schiffe sail to Langeneß as well?+
No. The Wadden Sea network of Adler-Schiffe links Hörnum, Amrum, Föhr, Hooge, Nordstrand and Pellworm, but not Langeneß. The hallig hangs off the line from Schlüttsiel alone.
Is Langeneß an island?+
Langeneß is a hallig: an undyked marsh island that is flooded during high tides, with dwellings built on artificial mounds. For travel planning what matters is that there is only one ferry line and that the timetable governs the day.
