Ferries to Hooge
Hallig Hooge lies in the middle of the North Frisian Wadden Sea and is surprisingly well connected in the summer half-year - six ports then appear in its timetable. From early November to late March, the scheduled service that Adler-Schiffe operates here pauses.
From Amrum: the shortest leg
Twenty to thirty minutes with the MS Adler-Express, two departures per operating day. It is the shortest connection in the entire North Frisian network.
From Nordstrand and Pellworm
From Nordstrand it is 62 to 70 minutes, from Pellworm 50 minutes. Both routes are sailed by the same MS Adler-Express; to Pellworm there is usually one departure a day in the schedule.
From Hörnum on Sylt
Seventy to 82 minutes, two departures per operating day. That makes Hooge reachable from Sylt as a day trip - the outward and return sailings on the same day are both in the timetable.
To Heligoland and Föhr: with a change
Adler-Schiffe also sells through-tickets from Hooge to Heligoland and to Föhr. Neither is a direct sailing - in the schedule data none of these journeys carries a single through vessel. To Heligoland the journey takes a good two hours; in 2026 the timetable reaches to 21 October.
Year-round via Schlüttsiel
Outside the Adler season the way to Hooge runs via Schlüttsiel on the mainland coast. These hallig sailings are operated by the Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei; timetable and booking go through them directly. They are not part of the map or the timetable on this site.
