Ferries to Föhr
Föhr is the best-connected island in North Frisia. From Dagebüll the Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei sails to Wyk - a 50-minute crossing, up to twelve times a day in high season, all year round.
From Dagebüll: the main connection
The Dagebüll - Wyk route is the backbone of the timetable. The W.D.R. deploys its own vessels, listed in the schedule data as UTHLANDE and NORDFRIES among others. The currently published timetable reaches to 12 December 2026; the following period begins on 13 December.
During the summer half-year Adler-Schiffe also sails the same route with the MS Adler Rüm Hart - in around 25 minutes, so half the time, but only twice a day and only until the end of October.
To Amrum
Between Föhr and Amrum the W.D.R. sails year-round in one hour, with four departures a day as the norm. Adler-Schiffe covers the same route in 30 to 35 minutes during the summer half-year.
Onward into the Wadden Sea - with a change
From late March to early November, Adler-Schiffe sells through-tickets from Föhr to Hooge, Nordstrand, Pellworm, Hörnum on Sylt and to Heligoland. These are not direct sailings but involve a change of vessel - in the schedule data none of them carries a single through vessel.
Crossing times range from around 70 minutes to Hooge up to two and a half hours to Nordstrand or Heligoland. If you want to sail direct, go via Amrum: that is where the MS Adler-Express line begins.
